The Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge reserves the right to sell you a cat/kitten. All the animals in this Refuge are owned by us and are adopted under our terms and conditions which are to ensure the long-term welfare of the animals. Part of those conditions are to match you up with a cat/kitten that suits you and your lifestyle by asking the following questions. Ownership of the cat/kitten does not transfer to you until you have complied with the conditions of adoption. By signing this form, you agree to our terms and conditions to adopt.

Cost of owning a cat/kitten range from $600 to $1500 per annum. Are you prepared for these costs which include vaccinations, worming and feeding, and exclude additional vet care. *

Take the time to adopt a new cat/kitten, and please listen to our advice. Cats cant take 2 to 4 weeks to adjust to new surroundings, and you should keep your new cat inside for at least 4 weeks. Once it has adjusted, your cat should be kept inside at night for it's own safety of the local wildlife. It is also council requirements that your cat is contained to your property.

We have a 28 day cooling off period whereby any cat purchsed can be returned to the refuge within 28 days. At the discretion of the refuge, no refund is given but a credit for another animal is allowable within 6 months. This is a once only option.
